The assault caused the partial shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 parking area.

Two more people have been arrested related to a theft at Heathrow Airport where over twenty individuals sustained injuries by a substance believed to be pepper spray, according to law enforcement.

A man, 24, was arrested in the Lambeth area for suspected theft and assault and a woman, 23 was arrested for suspected conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals are still being held, authorities confirmed.

The arrests come after a probe into an assault at the multi-level parking garage at Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the incident, a pair of female travelers were robbed of their luggage after getting out of a parking garage elevator.

A three-year-old girl was among the those hurt in the event. Five people went to hospital for medical care and were later released.

Officers detained a 31-year-old man for suspected theft and assault near the location. He was subsequently released pending further inquiries while inquiries continue.

Authorities were alerted at approximately 8:10 in the morning GMT after reports came in regarding several individuals hurt by an irritating chemical thought to be an irritant spray.

The assault - which authorities stated was isolated and not considered terrorism - resulted in train delays and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the T3 car park briefly.
